I now have a clothesline!

My sweet hubby surprised me a few nights ago by bringing home the supplies to assemble a clothesline!  When you live in Arizona and there is so much sunshine, why not make good use of it?  He found an old well tube and shaft and welded them together to make the poles for the clothesline.

Digging the holes...

We concreted the poles in.

Spraypainting...

Stringing the wire...

Ta-da!! All done!!

Now I can enjoy hanging the laundry out in the fresh air!
I'm also curious to see how much it will save us on our electricity bill!

Pivot Monkey Bars

Justin sent me this video the other evening.

He was waiting on a pivot to come to a certain point so he could shut it off.

While he waited, what do you think he decided to do?

He set his phone on timelapse and used the pivot as his monkey bars!

That pivot span is 180 ft long but he didn't quite make it the whole way.

(According to him the video's not "that great" because he didn't make it the whole way across, but I was still impressed! ;D )

\\ August Activities //

"And with the rainbow, seven colors, perfection.  God is perfected in sevens.  And there He was also as rainbow, as a covenant.  Everywhere you look, you can see God, if you'll just look into His nature." 59-1129

I love how you can watch the rain come pouring out of the clouds!

Justin's boss does a lot of alfalfa so his workers are busy with the hay most of the summer.
Once the hay is cut, baled, and stacked in the barn, Justin loads it onto the trucks.

I went to work with Justin one day after a big rainstorm and the creek was running pretty good!
Usually it's just a dry wash but during monsoon season it's an actual creek!

Checking fertilizer...

Checking pivots one morning...

Justin's been swathing alfalfa again so that means I get to come ride with him pretty often.
I've been reading the "Foxe: Voice's of the Martyrs" book aloud while we ride...there are so many inspiring stories in that book!

We saw two coyotes one day.

One evening Justin took me coyote hunting...

We climbed up and sat behind the bale that's tipping a bit so the coyote's wouldn't see us.

After calling for a good 20 minutes without seeing anything, we spotted one about 200 yards away.  I guess you can tell from the picture (and the smile on his face :) that he got it!
