Here & There

I've done a few house projects in the past couple of weeks...
The first was this pallet sign Justin made for me to paint.  I stained it to match our bedroom set and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

The second was this coffee table Justin built for me.  I searched Pinterest for ideas and then we decided on one that we both liked.  He spent several evening's in Joshua's shop making it just right.

Sanding it nice and smooth...

The finished product!

I stained it and now I just need to put a coat of polyurethane on it.
Now to search Pinterest for decorating ideas!!

This is from a few weeks ago... Signs of spring on our little tree.

Now look at it! :)

Joylin, Joanna, Juliana, Hannah (Joylin's friend from Canada), and I enjoyed a little trip to the ocean a few days ago.

 A sanddollar Joanna found.

Pretty little blooms on the dunes...

I had the girls over for a craft day while Hannah was here.
Joylin made this one...

...I did this one...

Joanna found this idea off Pinterest (where all, a lot, of our ideas came from :P)  She added some buttons later, they really added the perfect finishing touch!

Joylin made this one.

Joanna made these... sorry the bottom one is cut off! :(

Hannah found an idea on Pinterest and then cut out her own little dress template to create this adorable card.

We made about 20 cards all together!

Point of Pines

This past weekend Justin and I decided to go camping and fishing at Point of Pines Lake, about 4 hours from our house.  The scenery on the way there was so pretty...

When we crested the top of the mountain the view was just breathtaking.  You know you're becoming an Arizonian when the sight of trees becomes something special!! :D

We arrived at the campground and set up camp before we decided to go try our luck at fishing.

Sadly we didn't get a bite the whole time we were there :( poor Justin!

The scenery made up for the lack of fishing luck, for me anyways :)

Bonfires = the best part about camping!

Eggs and muffins were our breakfast fare Saturday morning.

We then spent the morning trying to get a bite.

Saturday afternoon we decided to pack up camp and start on the journey home.

Our trusty old truck got us there and back again :)

Only in Arizona would snow be seen on a mountain top while in the valley the temperature would be almost 70 degrees!
