:: family fun ::

One afternoon when my family was here, I took Benjamin and David over to ride with Justin in the tractor.

I love the view of the snow capped mountains in the winter!

Waiting to be picked up! :)

Benjamin shared little pieces of his cheese stick with Justin :)

This is the attachment Justin was pulling behind the tractor.

I thought it was cute how Benjamin was standing on a chair to play ping pong :)
(short people problems haha)

We went for a walk one morning and Daddy put Benjamin in the mailbox haha
What a cute package!!

The Strite's were so kind and invited us all over for dinner one evening.

Baby Judah is always the center of attention, we all love to hold him!!

Story time!! :)

We so enjoyed having my family here for a week, the time flew way to fast, as always!! :)

Skiing & Snowboarding Trip

The skiing and snowboarding trip after Harmony is something we all look forward to.  We drove up on Monday, and then skied all day Tuesday and Wednesday.  The weather was beautiful, we had the slopes to ourselves, and we got to have a blast with our friends!  This was Elainah and David's first time to ski and they did amazing!!  A big "Thank You!" to the Wallace family for putting this trip together!!

The snowboarders strapping in at the top!

This was Micah David's first time to try snowboarding :)

Elainah and David started out on the bunny hill but it wasn't long before they were going down the main runs with everyone else!!

: Day Two :

The drive from the condos where we stayed at night to the slopes in the morning, was beautiful.

Taking a break for lunch

I skied with my cousin, Joanna, after lunch.  It was so nice to spend some time with her!

I love this shot of Zoe!  The powder on Wednesday was perfect!

Joshua tried snowboarding on Wednesday and he blew us all away!  He caught on so fast it was amazing!  I think he has such good balance from riding unicycles for so many years.  He said that after trying snowboarding he's never going back to skis :)

Wednesday was sunny, but the temp only got up to the mid thirties and it was very windy!

Every night after skiing the boys set up tables and chairs in the community hall back at the condos where we all stayed.  Each family brings something for the meal and we all have a wonderful evening  visiting together.  Wednesday was Carol's 14th birthday so Daddy picked up a cake to surprise her and we all sang Happy Birthday.

I put a video together from clips I took on my phone and ones Justin took on the GoPro.
Sorry for the jerkiness at times, we were trying to ski/snowbaord while videoing :) Enjoy!

Salt River Canyon

My family was able to be here for the weekend of Harmony in the Desert as well as the annual skiing trip in the White Mountains, hosted by the Wallace's.  We left our house on Monday afternoon and drove up to the lodge.  It is a beautiful drive through the Salt River Canyon.

We stopped a few times on the drive to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

If you look closely you can see the crumpled up pieces of a car that went off the road.

(This picture is fuzzy because I had zoomed in so far on my phone)

Back on the road...

Our next stop was a hike down to the river.

We took several friends along on the trip.  This is Hope's friend, Carol.

You know my family, if there is a fence, they have to climb over it to explore the other side!!

The boys went climbing over the rocks...

What are you doing way down there, Timothy?  Don't fall in!!

The view was just spectacular.  There is nothing more breath taking than God's creation!!

Benjamin, Joshua, David, Joshua, and Justin with friends Josiah, Timothy, and Abraham.

This is the view from the top...

Across the road from the pull off there were these cave type things in the side of the cliff.

Adventurous Hope climbing up to see what was in them.

When we got to the lodge we went to the community hall and played games with all the other people who had arrived as well.  I think Rook was the most played game on this trip!!

Dutch Blitz was also played many times!!

Next up, pictures of our two day skiing and snowboarding fun!!
