Peach Pickin'

This past week we went to an orchard and picked peaches!  The best part about these peaches is that they were FREE!! Beautiful, delicious, ripe fruit for FREE?  What a blessing!  We loaded the bed of two trucks and my car trunk with the bountiful harvest.  It's been so fun to can, freeze, and share with others the blessing of this free fruit.

The little people were such a help picking!

One of the truck beds, full of fresh picked peaches!

Every day I've been picking out the peaches rip enough to can and freeze.

We're looking forward to many peach cobblers, smoothies, and pies in the future!

Who Does He Look Like?

"Who does Benaiah look like?  You or Justin?"
This is the question that everyone seems to ask me...

...and I always say, "Just like his daddy!"

Pictures from PA

Benaiah and I enjoyed a week with my family before the bridal shower.

Elainah is one of the best little babysitters when I am there!

One evening we were on the front porch and it got a little chilly so Dad went and got him this hat :)

Serenah enjoys poking at playing with her nephew :)

Zoë's Bridal Shower

This past week, I flew to Pennsylvania for my cousin Zoe's bridal shower!  She is getting married in September and this was the weekend that worked best for us to throw her a shower.  The colors were navy, gold, and blush.  We used pink, white, light green, and purple lisianthus flowers on the tables.  Abigail got prints of Luke and Zoe's engagement pictures and we placed one on each table as well.  Zoe's parents rented a white tent to provide shade since the shower was outdoors.  It was a beautiful day and perfect weather for a party in honor of Zoe.

My mom got this table at a yard sale for $2.  The top folded down so I painted it for decoration.

For the food we decided on was a salad bar with grilled chicken and all different kinds of toppings and Aunt Rebekah's delicious homemade dressings.

Center pieces on the tables...

We had raspberry lemonade and water for the drinks.
Zoe will be "Mrs. Kitching" hence the K flag :)

The dessert bar was on this vintage dresser.

Roseanna did an awesome job on the games!

Serenity is Zoe's cousin on her moms side.  She flew in that morning, surprising Zoe, and making the day even more memorable!

Congratulations on your engagement and future marriage, Mrs. Kitching-to-be!

Powered Paragliding

Jaylon recently became involved in the sport of Powered Paragliding.  After hearing how much fun Jaylon was having, Justin decided to get into the sport as well.

He practiced kiting quite a few times before he took his first flight.

On his second flight Justin and Jaylon flew over our house.
