Class of 2017 | Joshua's Graduation Party

My brother Joshua graduated from High School this past spring.  When we graduate, our parents said that we can choose anywhere in the world to go on graduation trip to.  Back in 2013 when I graduated, I chose to visit the country of Israel.  This year, Joshua decided that he wanted to go salmon fishing in Alaska.  Benaiah and I flew back for the graduation party which was held a few weeks after they returned from their trip to Alaska.

Since the main part of Joshua's graduation trip was to go salmon fishing, there was a game where you could guess how many pounds/ounces of filleted salmon they brought home from Alaska.

This is a picture of Joshua from when we first went visited Alaska.

We made a photo book with pictures of Joshua in Alaska and then people could sign it.

Every year Mommy has us do "journals" about vacations, field trips, or activities we do throughout the year.  We also show them to our evaluator at the end of the school year. We brought all of Joshua's journals for people to look through if they wanted to.

Unfortunately my phone died halfway through the day so these are all the pictures I have.  There were many different events throughout the day, softball, volleyball, a homerun derby, whoopie pie eating contest, greased pig contest, and a tug of war contest.

One of Daddy's cousin uploaded the Whoopie Pie Eating Contest to Youtube. ^

The party started at 1 pm with the meal being served at 5pm so throughout the day there were snacks available in the pavilion.  Grapes, apples, pretzel "unicycle" wheels since Joshua rides the unicycle, and a "one smart cookie bar" with assorted cookies.

Joshua's only specific requests for the meal were that we had Papa Johns pizza and ice cream.  There was also a salad bar and chips for the main meal.  For dessert we had an ice cream sundae bar and whoopie pies.

Pleased to know about your graduation party. All our friends are planning a get together out of our city at any of the LA venue for whole day. Searching for breakfast, lunch and dinner packages including accommodations for one night. Hope our plan is successful. Also have to look for budgeted trip.
