Before baby boy makes his debut I wanted to get a few meals and baked goods in the freezer.  I spent a day making casseroles, crockpot meals, muffins, cookies, waffles, pancakes, and other goodies for after the baby arrives and when cooking seems like a daunting task!  I love the simplicity of meals that are pre-made and all you have to do is pop them in the oven or crockpot.  What is your family's favorite freezer meal?

Guest Room/Nursery Tour

Our baby boy's due date is getting close!!  The countdown is officially on with only one more week to go!  We decided not to convert an entire room into a nursery right away so we chose to put the baby furniture pieces in the guest room along with a few decorations.  I've been working on a few projects for the gallery wall above his crib, one being the deer silhouette you see pictured below.

I made the pallet sign and then stained it before painting the deer.

I saw the saying "Be strong in the Lord little man" on Pinterest and thought it would be perfect for a nursery gallery wall.  When I went back to PA for the baby shower, Mommy had seen the saying when I pinned it and she painted it for shower decor and then gave the canvas to me.  I found the frame at Hobby Lobby (the week frames were 50% off - win!!)

The wooden arrow above the sign was another fun Hobby Lobby sale find.

Aunt Jennifer painted this sweet sign for our little guy.

One of the ladies I used to work with painted this amazing slate sign for the baby.  Judy is very talented in all things painting/card making/crafts!  I learned so much from her in the year we worked together.

The covered space you see on the gallery wall is where a cutout of his first initial is hanging.  I hot glued twigs on the letter to add a little finishing touch but I edited it for the picture since we are keeping his name under wraps until his arrival! :)

The antler mount on the wall is from the first whitetail Justin shot two years ago.  I will also be hanging a small dream catcher in the empty space on the left between the other arrow and slate sign.

Disclaimer* This is NOT the baby's initial (capital "NOT" for the benefit of certain family members *ahem* Daddy, Hope, Joy...)  This is just a picture of the letter off Pinterest where I got the idea! :)

We were given this diaper changing table so it is in the guest room as well.
I got a matching diaper changing cover to match the crib sheet.

Now to just patiently wait a little while longer until our little man arrives!!
