Springtime Pictures

The tree in our front yard is showing signs of spring!
The weather here has been gorgeous the past few days.  Our mornings are calm and sunny with a bit of a breeze picking up in the afternoon.

I was outside doing some yard work the other day and the bees were busy in our tree!
If you look closely you can see the pollen on the bee's back legs...

These little wild flowers are blooming in our yard now too.

These two pups are pretty fun to have around.  I'm really glad we were able to get two of them so they have each other to play with.  They are very entertaining to watch!!

Lexi had a bit of a tumble out of the back of the truck about a week ago.  We're really thankful she is okay and getting better by the day.

Snoozin' in the shade...

Our wedding anniversary was on the second official day of Spring.  Time has really flown by this past year and I feel so blessed to have spent it with my best friend!

:: Baby Shower in Arizona ::

This past week Justin's Mom, sisters, and Hannah hosted a fun "lumberjack" themed baby shower for us.  We had a lovely afternoon with all the ladies who came to shower us and our baby with their kindness and love!

The food table...

Joylin and Joanna made this adorable banner for a decoration!

Thanks to Joshua for cutting wood stumps for the cupcake stands!

Everyone was so sweet and generous to our little guy!

Jenny came up with some fun games for everyone to do.
I didn't do so well on this one!! :P

For one of the other games, there was a basket of unmatched baby socks.  Each person was individually timed while they matched all the socks as fast as they could.  Whoever did it in the least amount of time won a prize!  It was pretty fun to do and to watch!! :)

When the girls sent out the shower invitations they asked for the ladies to bring a children's book instead of a card for the baby.  I thought it was a pretty cool idea and now he has a lot of nice little books to read and sweet notes from everyone who came!
A few of the books...

A big "Thank you!" to everyone who came to the shower and to Justin's sweet family for hosting it for us!

Patagonia Lake

This past weekend Justin and I enjoyed a day at Patagonia Lake.  The weather was perfect, in the high eighties!  The water was still a bit cold though so our fishing luck wasn't the best.

Sunrise as we left our house...

Justin fished and I read the books I'd brought along...
We had a really nice time just being together!

Family in February (& March)

A few days after the baby shower in PA, Hope and I flew back to Arizona.  A week later, Mommy, David, and Serenah came for a few days before they flew back with Hope.

The puppies were happy to see David when we got home from the airport!

Serenah wasn't so sure about Justin's new beard growth!

One day we went to Sierra Vista and saw some cattle by the road.

I had an appointment with my midwife so David and Mommy did school outside.

Hope turned 14 while she was out here so we had a little party for her with her friends on the ranch.  One of the games we did was the saran wrap ball game.  You wrap a present in saran wrap, tape, and we did a few layers of bubble wrap.  Then you wrap another present a few layers later, until you have a giant ball of goodies.  Since Hope turned "14" you had to spin a 1 or 4 and then you could unwrap as fast as you could until the next person spun a 1 or 4 and then the ball was passed to them.  Anything you unwrapped from the ball you got to keep.  We put some hair accessories, notepads, tic-tacs, gum, mentos, hand sanitizers, and other little things in the ball.

One evening we went up to Jenny and Micah's to see their newborn piglets.
They have three litters right now!

While we were there Justin shot a quail and a jack rabbit.

Birthday cards from Grandmommy! :)  Justin turned 21 a few days after Hope's birthday.

Micah David got to spend the day with David.

That evening we had his whole family and some friends over for snacks and desserts.  There was a beautiful sunset that night!

Jaylon brought his drone and took some pictures of our house with the sunset.
